The social life at Thunderbird is fantastic. There is an on-campus pub
which has the largest selection of international beers in the state.
Everyone thinks its a dive the first time they go in but its all about
the atmosphere and everyone misses it when they are away. Restaurants -
forget about it unless you have a car, even then unless you are a big
fan of chain restaurants you won't get much joy. There are 200 clubs
ranging from national clubs, business and career clubs, social clubs,
sports clubs. If we don't have a club you like you can start a new one
very easily. There are always events and classes for various things.
In one week you might have lessons in fencing, yoga, salsa dancing,
aerobic boxing, belly dancing and karate. The wine club hosts regular
tastings and every week there is a national/regional night featuring
music, clothes, food etc from different places. There is a huge
balloon festival and a blues festival. Global Sounds is always an
amazing event, showcasing the musical skills of the student body. TSG
sponsor an event every semester and that changes all the time. In the
past we have had a carnival and a casino night. It doesn't matter what
your taste is you'll find something to suit it.
