The absolute best part of Thunderbird. At first one might get depressed
arriving in Glendale (or Glen-hell), but lack of neighborhood activities
ensures a nightly crown at the Thunderbird pub where the Thunderbird
network is constantly built upon. It is this network which is the
backbone of T-bird itself. There is no Greek system, however, the ever
present Rugby team makes up for that. Every year, T-bird holds an
international Rugby tournament, and you will hear about it from the
Ruggers all year long. Very few people at T-bird date, and fewer
marry. There are a lot of stories of couples ending it after graduating
from T-bird. However, there is ample opportunity to hook up -
especially when there is a bar on campus.
The other great of T-bird is the regional night parties, along with
clubs like the wine club which has a wine tasting at least once a
month. In the years that I have been there, the wildest nights have
been India night and Latin America night. The food, the drink, and the
dance was in ample supply. Other nights are nice, but they lack the
umph of these two.
