The campus is relatively small and there are on-campus dorms and nearby
off-campus housing. Dorms are for singles only, couples must live off
campus. There are a few different types of dorms and they all have
their own culture. The older ones are being phased out (they were
truly awful) and the remaining ones are all 2 bedrooms sharing a
bathroom. This trimester for the first time private dorms are
available. The campus itself is beautiful, well maintained and
landscaped. The older classrooms are being refurbished and many new
buildings have gone up in the last few years. Every classroom has AV
equipment and a computer. Most have LAN connections for students use,
although not enough for the entire class. Over the summer the student
government and campus facilities put a lot of work in redoing study
spaces and making the campus wireless. Dining is mediocre to say the
least. Aramark have the on-campus dining contract and the food is
alright but nothing great. Prices are reasonable though. Off campus
it's chain store heaven. Very little except TGI's and the like. The
neighborhood is okay, nothing special, but to be honest you don't need
to leave the campus all that often. Both campus and neighborhood are
safe in terms of personal safety. Nobody has been attacked or mugged.
However there is a high rate of car theft and you really need a car in
Arizona.
