The Career center on campus is somewhat weak. The alumni network is the way to
find opportunities. There is some campus recruiting but the student body has such
diverse ambitions and goals that many students don't fit the cookie cutter MBA
jobs that come to campus.
There seem to be a lot of overseas internship opportunities and many people
leverage those into full-time jobs. Overseas internships are ususally done in
conjunction with a semester abroad at either a Thunderbird campus or partner
institution.
Thunderbird definitely has prestige in Europe, Latin America and Asia. It's name
is arguably stronger overseas than in the U.S. The whole point of the school is
the amazing people you meet that you will build your career with and the copious
networking opportunities worldwide. Wherever you want to live and/or work in the
world there will be a network of T-birds there to help you. The alumni network is
also free for life and very active. Almost all major cities have major events
every month in addittion to the "First Tuesday" tradition. Which is every first
Tues. of the month wherever you are in the world there is a Thunderbird gathering
for alumni.
