The school career center worked fine with me. During a fair organized by our
career management center i got the opportunity to find an internship with BMS in
NJ, and then 3 month later I was interviewed Novartis who gave me an offer. Most
big multinational companies came to the job fairs (maybe more industry than
consulting) and even though Tbird is not amongst the top 10 academically, it is
definitely for recruiters. My recommendation would be to focus on internship
search during the 2nd semester (because- if you want to change industry it's
easier to get a job after you've got an internship and especially if you're not
american it will be easier to find a job in america if you've been working for a
known US company (even though it's just an internship). Then coming back to
school (3rd semester), you should focus on job search, so that you don't have
pressure during your last semester and you can focus on taking courses related to
the job you've been able to get. I've seen too many students spending too much
time on trying to get good grades instead of building a nice network and finding
a job well before graduation date.
