International internships/jobs mainly. I interned in Germany this past summer
and work for the same firm in the U.S. Various Management rotation programs.
Extensive and global alumni network- mainland China, Dubai, Peru, Japan,
of-course Europe and the Americas. International development jobs, government
jobs, banking, pharma, and consulting, usually the top consulting firm hire for
their Asian operations, those whom have recruited for the U.S. operations
included Accenture, Braxton and a few boutique firms. I have friends in other
B-schools and we have almost similar recruiting cycles. Some recruiting is
conducted indirectly, for example there are executives from various firms whom
are part of "Global Council" advisers to the school and selected students have
the opportunity to have breakfast with these executives and I know a few people
whom were offered jobs, this is an informal recruiting event usually for high
level management position, there is no HR but rather top executives themselves
whom hire. Similary, Thunderbird, runs various management classes globally which
attracts executives. Thunderbird Executive Education is ranked number 10 by
Financial Times and Thunderbird is Ranked number 1 in International Management by
Wall Street Journal. The employers come here to hire students with no frills.
Thunderbird students have a holistic and honest approach to business and lack the
usual MBA arrogance.
