Admission & Application Survey |
| Full-time MBA program |
Thunderbird admits people who have been working at least 2 years outside
of their homecountry. this concerns the US citizen (40% of population)
and off course all international students. on top of that you've got to
speak at least english (on top of your native language) and be willing
to learn another one. Those 2 criteria make a serious pre-screening, so
that the selection based on the dossier (as long as you have a decent
gmat) is not tough. the school prefers open/flexible/agile/global
individuals rather than 1st of the class type..
the idea is to be able to show how international your experience has
been in your essays and how this exposure will benefit everybody else
(students/professors). I have been interviewed during a career fair in
Paris and the interview (my first contact with the school) has been a
good experience - the interviewer was balancing challenge and motivation
and that's one of the think that attracted me to Thunderbird. now, i'm
not sure the interview is mandatory to enter. the admission has been
quite flexible regarding my entry date. There are 3 entries: jan, May,
Aug and this determines whether you want to come in with a big class or
not (august is about 500 students)
