I was married and lived off campus and had no significant experience
with respect to campus life, housing or dining. College Station along
with the small town next to it, Bryan, were fairly small towns. If any
significant night life was sought one usually went to Houston, 100 mi
away. There was not, at least at the time, no significant night life
area such as is found around the University of Texas in Austin.
