Reknown for its selectivity, luck may be all you can hope for as you pit
yourself against a very large applicant pool. However, you can improve
your chances with meaningful essays that tell a story of who you are,
rather than just state facts. Also, if you know a current student,
he/she may be willing to write a referral letter for you. (Please note
that in the past, only one referral letter can be written by each
current student per year, so he/she may be picky on who he/she is going
to write for.)
