There's a happy hour every Thursday and the important networking events
on several Fridays throughout the semester. Students do take advantage
of this and it is a great way to get to know classmates. Don't think
this is a school that is tied to the Methodist Church as you will not
see the link as far as social activities or the education goes.
Dallas has one of the highest percentage of restaurants to actual
population, so great restaurants are not a problem.
