The career services center at SMU is really quite good. Dallas has a lot of big
businesses, many of which recruit on campus. While nationally ranked, SMU is
still somewhat pigeon-holed as a regional southwest school. Our class had 100%
internship placement over the summer as did the class before us - pretty good
given the economic climate. Your chances of getting a job are always somewhat
predicated on the economy at the moment and of course are linked heavily to your
individual ability level; however, SMU students have good prospects getting out
even in the current economic sludge.
