Admission & Application Survey |
| Full-time MBA program |
I submitted my application to SMU at the end of March prior to their
third stated deadline, I believe. There were a few essays. "What will
the Wall Street Journal article 10 years from today say about you?",
etc. Just your typical application really. Nothing too tricky about
it. After the application submission I was invited up to Dallas to take
a tour of the b-school and go through an interview. The interview was
your normal touchy-feely culture fit interview. I asked later on how
that went and they told me that in the interview they decided that I had
good leadership skills and that I had a good variety of experience to be
beneficial to the incoming class. The advice that I would give here
would be to talk up your prior experiences. Just put yourself in the
interviewers shoes and try to fit the mold that they are looking to fill.
