Living in Paris was exciting and expensive. The school helped students
find housing and were very good at it. Paris, like any big city has
everything you could ever want, but there are sections to avoid. The
Metro, the Paris subway line, is fantastic and you don't need a car.
The campus itself is unimpressive, but its not a dump, either. It is in
the city center and there are plenty of places to eat, cafes, even a
garden on the top of a building to catch some rays!
Paris was great! Just be prepared for a big city and frequent strikes!
The French were not rude or anything cliche like that, but just like in
New York, London, Tokyo, Philadelphia, etc. people won't go out of their
way to help you either. I also figured out why service in Paris
restaurants is typically slow - they aren't paid via their tips, they
get a flat salary! So don't expect the waiters to sing "Happy Birthday"
to you. The Tex-Mex restaurants have hit Paris too. Woo-hoo!
