The best aspect that I see with McMaster is the co-op program. The co-op terms
allowed me to try new jobs and new positions. First work term gave valuable
experience in new reporting methods such as executive dashboards/balanced
scorecards. 2 of my 3 work terms were also in an industry that I had 0
experience with(Healthcare). My manager (Director level) had gone through the
McMaster program and so was a great manager for the short term. Throughout the
entire term, he acted like a mentor, giving at-work cases. Learned valuable
lessons.
Brand new wing added onto the Degrootte (business) building, that provided new
computer lab. There's also a "Decision Support" room and a "Trading Floor" with
Reuters and Bloomberg's latest product offerings.
Most classes have a teaching assistant. Class size in first year is about 40
students. Class size in second year can vary from 6 to 40 students depending on
the course.
