Libraries are among the top of the nation. Needless to say, Boston is a city perfectly located (close to NYC and Canada, many cultural offerings, and above a lot of business activity). Cons are quality of food and a slight Puritan flavor (nothing that you canoot bear for 2 years). Cambridge is very safe and neighborhood quality varies throughout the city.
