Again, the program made me into a better manager. I now manage projects,
business ventures, and take a more active role in the operations of my company. I
would have never had the opportunity without the program. At first I thought
these were coincidences, but for each class, my eyes were opened to opportunities
in my company that ALWAYS EXISTED, I just never saw them. The program at Lake
Forest gave me more responsibility and opportunities than I could have hoped for.
I must stress again that this is what I wanted. I did not take the program to
get a new job or increase my salary. I took the program to better my skills as a
manager and make a bigger impact in my company. For that, it was an extremely
successful program. I also, now, feel confident in my next goal of serving on a
board of directors - something I thought I was ready for, but quickly realized at
the time that I was not. After graduation, I know I am.
