Jones International University has a virtual student center that
provides students with their records, a book store, advising, tech
support, the student handbook, book swaps, forum discussions, nearly any
information a student would need.
There is a profile section that allows students to reveal what they want
or need to other students. This helps in classes where group projects
are assigned and a deeper understanding of ideas and facts are realized
when considering the location of fellow students.
An online chat area is also available for students to use.
Each spring's Graduation day is very special. This year the President
of Poland was the guest speaker at commencement, and last year Vicente
Fox, President of Mexico, was the commencement speaker. All of the
students, faculty, staff, and administrators that wish to participate
with discussion and congratulatory notes can do so on that day. You can
feel the closeness that many people at JIU have forged over time.
