| Part-Time MBA Program w/ HR Specialty |
For admissions to Iona College's MBA program, I had to submit an
application, essay of approximately two pages, references (which had to
come from the references directly to the school on a specially-provided
form for this purpose), and copy of my current resume.
I did not have to re-take the GMATs as I already have an M.S. degree but
would have needed to have retaken the GMATs if I wanted to be considered
for any scholarships since my original GMAT scores were more than five
years old.
By attending an in-person Iona College/MBA program, the school waived my
$50 application fee which was appreciated! It's difficult to determine
on what criteria students are accepted or aren't accepted into this
program--my opinion is that the program is willing to accept most
students at least conditionally into the program. I received an
acceptance letter approximately two weeks after I submitted this (but
was told verbally that I could go ahead and register for that term's
courses since classes were scheduled to start within one week).
Iona College also has a deferred tuition billing program for students
employed at larger area companies (such as Wyeth Pharmaceuticals). This
is a wonderful program that enables the student to only have to pay 10%
of any tuition/fees upfront, rather than having to come up immediately
with the normal $1600+/graduate course.
