Social Life Survey
Full-time MBA program INSEAD probably has the best social life of any MBA program. This is especially true for well-off single people aged around 25. There are several parties going on every night of the week (though you would have to be a serious socialite to get invited to all of them!). I would guess the average students goes to two or three parties a week. Only about 25% of the students are female so this isn't the best place for a guy to meet the girl of his dreams. It's not bad for girls however! It seems like a few weddings result from meeting at INSEAD every year. Most sports tastes are satisfied: Rugby, Soccer, Basketball, Track & Field, Badmington, Cycling, Rock climbing, Poker... plus students tend to create their own clubs as per their interests. The food at INSEAD is apparently much better than Wharton. I'm not sure if that's because INSEAD is particularly good or if Wharton is particularly bad! As a vegetarian I would rate the cuisine as 'acceptable'. For non-vegetarians there are about 10 dishes to chose from every day in Fontainebleau. The food in Singapore has more of an asian accent and is apparently fantastic (I didn't go to Singapore). INSEADs Fontainebleau campus has a small bar and people do tend to hang out in it - but only if you don't mind cigarette smoke. There are lots of restaurant and bars in Fontainebleau which INSEAD students frequent (and are warmly welcomed with English menus!). Again, France doesn't have much respect for non-smokers so be prepared!
