Recruiting is excellent here, with major companies attending or holding
recruiting cocktail parties, or participating in career fairs. The school is
active in this regard and encourages students to attend. One can work a minimal
amount of hours under the student visa and there are opportunities to do job,
internship and paid part-time work, but a foreign student must be aggressive to
seek them out. This school is very highly regarded in the area, as well as the
rest of Europe and Asia. It is not very well known in the US, mostly because
students who attend seldom come back to the US. English is usually the language
of choice for international companies and it is possible to work in Finland
without speaking Finnish.
