Saying you went to Harvard Business School is, in our circles, called "dropping
the H bomb." I did create the school, I'm not saying other's aren't smarter. But
for whatever reason (and some of them well-deserved), it's been my experience
that doors open for people who have this education and that interviewers are at
least willing to take the chance on a conversation with someone with this
background. After that opening, it's up to me to close the deal, which relies
on
careful preparation, experience, and a lot of unknowable factors -- i.e.
personal
chemistry, ability to move to a new location, etc.
