Admission & Application Survey |
| Full-time MBA program |
The admissions process was incredibly thorough. At the time the
applicant had to submit three letters of recommendation and write ten
essays. The ten essay requirement allowed students to convey the content
of their character and the quality of their thinking without absurd time
limitations. This requirement is much more "real-world" for an MBA
program, although it imposes serious file review issues for the MBA
program itself. Outside of academia, if you're interested in starting a
project or implementing a new strategy, one is allowed to collect one's
thoughts enough to put their best foot forward. Taking too little time
leads to sloppy thinking and sloppy business strategies and quite often
the fastest answer (i.e. on a timed test), isn't the best answer. As a
result I believe that this process was the most fair of all of the MBA
admissions at the time.
