The GT MBA program has a very communal feel, and we often have social
events on Thursdays nights where we'll visit local bars, etc. to hang
out. Also, we have on-campus "drop ins" which are a chance for students
to hang out and enjoy some beverages after classes, usually several
times throughout the semester. As one of the married folk (there are
many in my class,) it is great to know that my spouse is always
welcomed at any of the GT MBA events. There does tend to be a lot of
business school chatter at the events, so my wife doesn't always attend
because it tends to be very boring for her to hear about the day's
class lecture :), but the invitation is always on the table.
Also, GT's Management building is located in Midtown, and consequently
there are a host of great restaurants within walking distance of
campus.
