Tallahassee is pretty quiet with respect to violent crime. Theft and
burglary can be an issue in such a college town, however. On campus,
crime levels are very low. University apartments are probably above
average; dorms are below average. With that said, apartments are away
from the center of campus and there is no substitute for living in the
dorms as a freshman. I met my best friends from living in the dorms as a
freshman. SBI is housed in four buildings connected in a theoretical
circle, representing the global nature of business. One building is
about 25 years old, another is about 7 years old, the other two are
brand new. Have a laptop, as there is a campus-wide wireless network
that is excellent. Additionally, SBI is lacking in the computer area,
though that seems to be rapidly changing with the new building wings.
The cafeteria is average, though it does have its good days. KFC and
Pizza Hut are opening right across the street from SBI.
