Quality of Life Survey |
| Part-time MBA |
I can only address what I have personally observed for attending a part-
time program, and mainly on weekends. As far a ??quality of life??, from
what I noticed were very well maintained housing, a somewhat disheveled
landscape due to multiple expansion projects that are underway,
including a major renovation and upgrade to the dining facilities. It
looks much less like a cafeteria and more of a ??restaurant?? feel sans
wait staff. FDU has some fantastic facilities including conference
rooms that the students can use for team meetings, a newly refurbished
health club facility. It reminded me of some of the ??upscale?? fitness
club memberships with an aerobic area, swimming, weight
training, ??spin?? equipment etc. The neighborhood surrounding the
campus is very quaint. It is not the typical ??college town?? even
though there are 2 other colleges in the immediate area including The
College of St. Elizabeth and Drew University. This being said, it
appears to have much more of a ??commuter?? feel with the university
athletics being the main attractions for the weekends. The
crime/safety was a non-issue. Even if no one respected the ??public
safety officers?? and were for the most part an annoyance by ??booting??
cars that were illegally parked, I am pleased to say that besides the
occasional infractions performed by the student body (i.e. under age
drinking) it was a very safe campus that I would have no problems
traversing at any time.
