Emory students have sororities, fraternities, clubs, dances, local restaurants
and
bars within walking distance of campus. Their is more emphasis on the arts than
on athletics. The University strongly encourages cameraderie, as well as
scholarship. While it is a big school, you do not have the feeling of being
alone
among thousands. The campus is a community. As an EMBA student, I didn't
participate in daily campus under-grad life. But we had mixers with our
families -
especially important as the workload and time involved puts significant stress
on
family life. We got together ourselves for pizza, wings and beer when we wanted
to; the work groups frequently met that way. And we have had class reunions
every 5 years. Many of us have also kept in touch individually - that
all-important
network.
