Admission & Application Survey |
| Full-time MBA program |
Fairly standard b-school admissions process includes taking the GMAT,
filling out the application, writing essays and optional travel to Fuqua
for an on-site interview with a 2nd year student. My advice on getting
in includes making yourself standout from all the other applicants. I
don't think you have to worry about not having the "standard" background
in consulting or in a Fortune 500 firm. As long as you can provide
interesting insight and background to share with your fellow classmates,
it will add an extra element of diversity to an otherwise similar
group. Also, I would write personal stories in your essays that again
make yourself memorable and show your personality. There isn't one
thing the admissions committee is looking for, rather, they will
remember more those applicants who had an interesting story to tell,
background, etc. Of course, you also have to be qualified in terms of
grades and test scores.
