Cranfield School of Management is part of Cranfield University and the
campus is located 15 minutes driving from Milton Keynes (UK). It is
fairly isolated but only 1 hour from London.
There are several type of accommodations on campus: 2 and 3 bedroom
houses, flats and single rooms. All of them are maximum 10 minutes
walking distance from the School of Management.
Sports facilities: several cricket, football and rugby pitches, tennis
and basketball courts, gyms, etc.
In my opinion this fairly isolated location is one of the greatest
advantages of Cranfield MBA for the following reasons:
a) Everything is at walking distance on Campus.
b) Living expenses are reasonable.
c) The programme is too demanding to waste time commuting.
d) Very often students have to do group works till late at night; it
would be much more difficult to deal with this in a large city.
e) The campus is very quite, which help concentration.
f) Students spend most of the time on campus which encourages social
events and sports activities. It is very easy to make friends at
Cranfield, whereas I would imagine that in a large city It would be more
difficult fro students to get together after work.
g) Safety is granted, there is no danger of crimes whatsoever.
