Ithaca is a small rural community, several hours from the closest large
city. It will disappoint students looking for the big-city experience,
but offers a wealth of activities such as hiking and swimming. The
business school is located in the center of Cornell's campus and offers
access to the university's resources. Ithaca itself is rather expensive
for a small community. Most students live in apartments that cater to
graduate students; very few students live on campus. Sage Hall is a new
building with excellent facilities including a state-of-the-art computer
lab dedicated to financial research and wireless connections through
most of the building.
