Career opportunities, even during difficult times, are really a plus for CBS.
During high times: there are plenty of opportunities in investment banking and
consulting. the few of us who decide to work in other fields will be able to find
the few other opportunities.
During difficult times: investment banks and consulting firms are not offering
any openings. However, other companies do not want to pay relocation for Stanford
MBA or Sloan MBA, and are happy to hire CBS graduates for project management and
marketing positions.
The career office is very helpful during the first year to find internships, and
during the second year to find a job. They organize seminars, resume reviews,
case interview mock-ups, huge company database and have tome exclusive ads. Also,
the recruiting on campus events are of very high quality.
Also, even after graduation, the alumni website offer an incredible wealth of
job ads, posted by companies particularly interested in CBS graduates. Thus,
chances of success are high.
The career office is definitely part of CBS assets and part of what makes CBS
alumni still feel part of a community.
