I hold licensure in educational administration, as a result of doctoral
coursework in that area. As a career educator, I felt that the attainment of an
MBA degree would enhance my opportunities in the field of educational
administration since the courses would be academically more challenging than
those I would encounter beyond the coursework necessary for my Principal's
License. I also wanted to increase my qualifications for post retirement
employment.
Thus far, I have not gained a position in educational administration. I did have
an opportunity in the private sector, however, which I left after 18 months in
order to return to an educational position solely for the purpose of meeting
requirements for retirement.
