Whiles students won't be going out much the first 2 mini semesters, the
school arranges plenty of events, including: weekly on campus happy
hour, Pub Crawl (different bar in Pittsburgh every night), and holiday
parties. Dating is tough for guys(not a lot of single women and a lot
of single men). However, there are 2 good law schools, a great med
school and 2 other MBA programs in the area, so meeting people outside
the program is not difficult. The cultural offerings in Pittsburgh are
fantastic. While it is no NY, there is a world-reknowned ballet
company, symphony, opera and off-broadway shows. Also, CMU is one of
the top performing arts schools in the country, and on-campus
performances are top-notch.
