Pittsburgh actually has more to offer than most think. There are places
to go out, some really neat neighborhoods and even a few decent clubs.
You will not have that much time to go out your first year, although
many do it anyways. All depends on the level of your perfectionism.
School provides free beer each friday, and bar crawl each thursday, so
you don't have to work hard to have a social life. There are some other
activities, sport events and such. Drama school is among the best in
the countries, and there is a decent music scene.
As far as dating, with the ratio of men to women and time constaints,
you pretty much won't be dating, so get ready for it... Most people
don't know people outside of the program, but those who do, have great
fun.
