Being a small school allowed students to be helpful to one another, even during
the 2001-2003 economic 'collapse' in the US. There are many well regarded
companies in Pittsburgh and they recruit at school. Other major recruiters from
Manufacturing, Consulting, and Finance also look for potential employees on
campus.
From experience, GSIA graduates are well regarded at work and are given
tremendous responsibility right out of the box. The Career Opportunities Center
offers advice on things ranging from resume writing, effective interviewing,
networking, and of course, placement.
During the fall, recruiters go to campus for full-time graduating students and
the winter and spring brings recruiters for summer internship positions.
