Several offcampus apartments in the area. Dorms are generally for lower
division undergrads. Shopping and services are nearby. Very good public
transportation. Oncampus parking is expensive, but moderate compared to
larger urban universities. Many university and offcampus facilities are
new or near-new, with upgrades ongoing. Crime is generally low compared
to other universities, but always good to travel in groups and keep an
eye out around you. Campus is mostly closed to vehicles, so walking,
bicycling, or roller-blading is safe. Dining on campus is limited with
only a few small fast-food or cafeteria/cafe outlets, but very good
restaurants and regional shopping mall within 1 mile. Climate is warm
(80s-90s) 10 months, and cool (60s) in winter.
