GMAT's, of course, were required. No personal interview required, but
an essay was. I have no idea what I wrote on the essay, but because I
had already worked for 12 years in Health Care (as a psychiatric social
worker), the Health Care Management office (one of several at BU)
actually telephoned me, asking me to consider enrolling in their
program. I refused, because wanted to leave my options open. Also, I
knew I was more interested in Marketing Management than in Health Care
Mgmt.
Selectivity, back in 1994, when I first applied, did not seem to be too
great. Even in 1995, when I first attended, it didn't seem to be
difficult to get in. Things may have changed in the interim, especially
as more people are going to grad. school to put off the horrendous
experience of hunting for a real job.
