Admission & Application Survey |
| Full-time MBA program |
The admissions process was actually fairly straight forward. Step one is
simply filling out the application and TAKING YOUR TIME on the essays.
Try to give the adcom something they haven't seen before. Anything to
give them a reason to put your application aside and take a closer look
at you is good.
BC is historically a VERY tough program to get into. Last I heard the
acceptance rate was around 12%. It's this low for a variety of reasons;
not the least of which being the small size of the program (~100 per
class), and it's proximity to HBS & MIT (I believe we get a lot of HBS
wanna-be's who use BC as a "fall-back" school). The fact that it's a
great school with a great rep--and one of the most active and loyal
alumni base doesn't hurt much either, I suppose.
CALL AND GET AN IN-PERSON INTERVIEW! I can't stress this enough.
Regardless of whether it's BC or any other school, I believe it to be
best to get in front of someone...let them put a face to your name. BC
generally looks for team players (as there's a wealth of group projects
throughout the program), but also the "leader" type as well. This may
sound contradictory, but it's not. If you get in, you'll see what I mean.
