The quality of life at Baylor is outstanding. Because of the small
program size, students and faculty form great relationships. Faculty
offices are in the same area as the student lounge and at any time it is
common to find faculty in the lounge working with students. There is an
atmosphere of teamwork among students rather than competition. Student
with strengths in certain areas are always willing to help classmates.
The Baylor campus itself is growing tremendously (about eight new
buildings in the last two years). The campus is extremely safe but the
surrounding neighborhoods make some people uncomfortable. The
neighborhoods do not look modern, however most of the homes are actually
filled with Baylor students and should not pose any real problems. On
campus food is decent and there are dozens of restaurants right off
campus.
