Admission & Application Survey |
| Full-time MBA |
The admission process is very strait-forward and nothing unexpected.
Baylor has several recruiting events on campus throughout the year where
they allow prospects to spend a day at the school. Baylor is
aggressively working towards getting the MBA program recognized in the
top tier of US News and World Report. As a result of this effort, they
have placed a heavy priority on work experience in order to raise the
student average. Students with 3 years or more will have a strong
benefit while it is becoming more and more difficult for those directly
out of undergrad. The school wants to greatly reduce the number of
students that are also Baylor undergraduates. They are also trying to
raise their average GMAT score and are therefore taking fewer students.
Every year I have followed the Baylor MBA program, they have increased
acceptance requirements. Baylor has taken a lot (more than 40%) of
international students and this has hurt the average starting salary ?? I
expect they will try to get this average to 33%. Baylor will accept at
most 50 students but has recently only taken about 25 per semester.
