Quality of Life Survey |
| Full-time MBA program |
Quality of life is great in Tempe. I loved it and didn't want to move
away after graduation. However, there are not an abundance of full-time
opportunities in the Phoenix area. Off-campus housing is abundant with
all price ranges available. A few students actually took loans and
bought a small house to live in during school because housing is so
affordable. I regret not looking into that option more seriously.
Campus is the typical extremely large state school with all of the
amenities you can think of including several outdoor swimming pools.
The grad student guys loved to go over to the pool after class and check
out the undergrad girls. Downtown Tempe is a great area with
restaurants, bars, movies and shopping in very close proximity to
campus. Tempe is much more down to earth than neighboring Scottsdale
which is about 5 miles north and offers more upscale bars, restaurants
and clubs for the more "sophisticated" partiers.
