Admission & Application Survey
Full-Time MBA Program I applied to the graduate college to enter the MBA program, thinking that was the only process necessary. It wasn't. Once I had obtained the class card for the classes from the Business College which I wanted to attend, and spent four weeks in such classes, I was advised that I was to "drop" my classes because I failed to be admitted by the Business College. I refused to do so, claiming that I had already invested in the books, four weeks, etc. They were insistant, and I told them that if they continued on this matter, I would sue. I was allowed to take the classes, but told that I had to take the GMAT, and then apply before I could take any other classes. Since I had obtained over a 3.8 during the first semester, I advised them that if they fail to let me register and take any other classes, I would sue. During the second semester, I took the GMAT. Once the scores were obtained, they advised me that I could not be admitted by the Business College. I advised them that my overall scores during the first and second semester were above 3.0 (which is the minimum required to remain in the Business College), and if they refused to allow me to take any other classes, I would sue. I continued to take additional classes during the summer, and obtained my MBA while working full-time. Three months after graduation, I was advised that I was no longer on academic probation. Hated the University. They failed to treat students as their most important asset, but rather treated the professors as gods. None of the professors were available during the time posted on the bulletin boards. There was never any time for the students. Classes are large.
