Also within a five-minute walk is a very safe area, and a not-so-safe area. One area that is specifically grad- student housing has become very criminalized and I would not recommend living there. However, other areas are very nice with very reasonable rent costs. Check out the area before you sign your lease. University Health Services is minimal, and purchasing $250 health insurance is required.
