Academics Survey
full-time law program Academics are tough here. If you do not want to study hard, go elsewhere. First years take the same courses, albeit from different professors. Fair warning, some classes are taught by one year faculty from other schools or are just getting their teaching feet wet. This can sometimes lead to getting a poor professor/grade. The school is in the middle of hiring more professors, which should limit/eventually eliminate this issue. Some adjuncts are excellent and well known in their field of expertise. The hardest classes to get into are the clinics. Clinics are nationally ranked (6th in nation) and are key in getting the practice part of education. Grades are on a forced mean (school has recently adjusted this to enable better comparison of student's grades with the grades of other schools.) Try to get on to one of the reviews as this will better your chances of employment after graduation. Consiering there are at least 3 reviews, students have a more than fair chance of writing on to one of them at the end of their first year, unlike most schools.
