Admission & Application Survey
Full-time law program Washington University in St. Louis has a rolling admissions process, so the earlier you get your application in, the better. Wash U is focusing on increasing its rank in US News and World Report, and one of their strategies is to decrease the number of admitted students every year, heightening the bar for admissions. Additionally, the school is not shy about paying people with high grades and test scores to come to the school. There are myriad merit scholarships. You don't need to apply for the scholarship; they just send you a letter saying you got one. Approximately two-thirds of the student body receives scholarships, with the average around $12,000/year (I think). Admissions personelle gets back to students relatively quickly to inform of acceptance; informing of scholarships comes later-on.
