In addition to a real push for racial diversity, the law school looks
very favorably on geographic diversity. W&L aims to be a "truly
national law school," so candidates who live outside of the state of
Virginia, and the south in general, can look forward to better chances
of admission and scholarships. The rest of the admissions regime is
unexceptional with its focus on LSAT/GPA. The school is INCREDIBLY
generous with scholarship money, however, with the vast majority of
students receiving grant money. Considering the already-cheap costs
here, it's a very good value.
