On the fourth year of the full time student, and the fifth year of a part time
student, it is mandatory that they take 8 units of legal clinic. In this clinic,
we serve indigent clients. Our cases are the garden variety criminal and civil
cases: theft, murder, rape, support, annulment, legal separation. We don't have
a career placement system. However, since most of the alumni of our institution
work in the top 5 firms, we are drafted upon the second semester of graduation.
The doors of the judiciary are also open to us. I was a law clerk for a Justice
of the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
