Quality of Life Survey
Full Time law program Housing in SLC is plentiful and (relatively) inexpensive. A two bedroom house with a sizable yard can be rented for under $900/mo. Be aware that this is an older city, and many of the rental properties are 80+ years old. The campus is pretty sizable, as could be expected of any school with a 40,000+ person strong student body. The law school itself is not terribly impressive looking, but it is reassuring to know that the school is spending its cash on profs rather than impressive buildings. The school recently obtained a $24mil grant, and rumor has it, is looking to move into a new building at some point in the future. Restraunts are plentiful, and range in quality from fast food to fine dining. If the dining in SLC doesn't strike your fancy, there is an even wider variety (albeit pricier) just over the hill in Park City. Crime and Safety are two of the biggest reasons to move here. While not crime free, SLC is substantially safer than many other metropolitan areas of comparable size. The overall atmosphere is just that much friendlier
