UT's prestige with respect to Texas firms is high. The top 25% is pretty much
able to write it's own ticket. The rest of the class doesn't have serious
trouble finding work, but they normally aren't paid 120K to start. Prestige
outside of TX isn't as high, but is still very good. The Career Services Office
puts on an absurdly high number of career programs and makes On Campus
Interviewing a breeze. Internship opportunities are plentiful. Many US
students
enjoy interning with a court for credit and experience - unpaid. Austin's
market
is tough for anyone - Dallas and Houston have more jobs to offer.
