Admission & Application Survey
Full-time law program Getting In: It 'aint easy - and it's only getting harder. Over 6000 students applied for 500 spots last year. Looks like you need between a 3.4 and a 3.8 Cum GPA and a pretty stellar LSAT - at least 160. Of course, a higher LSAT will make up for a lower GPA and vice versa. On my letter of acceptance, I received a hand-written note from the dean of student services re: my personal statement, so be sure to do a good job on portion of the application. The school doesn't regularly interview, but I would bet that you could meet (and win over) some influential folks given just a bit of effort. 80% in-state acceptance rate is mandated by the state of Texas - consider moving to TX for a year prior to applying if you want to increase your chances of being accepted.
