Of course some firms are only looking for law review kids, but the great thing about LA is there are a TON of firms that are interested in the USC name. Also the school sponsors recruiting events in NYC, Boston, Chicago and DC if anyone is interested in getting jobs out there. Alumni come in and you can get most of your interviews done in a day. While its true that the USC name may not be as strong back east, out west it is golden. Lastly, if your numbers qualify you for a fellowship you are set! These students get a great 3 year half scholarship (no min. gpa) and are garunteed to work at a studio and BIG firm during that notoriously hard to navigate first summer. Not bad.
